I recently went on a beachy vacation for 6 days in Mexico and as my vacation approached I had an idea to incorporate at least one item of clothing into my daily outfit that I made myself. I ended up making a ton of dresses and cover-ups but the easiest pieces I made were kaftan style cover-ups out of scarfs I picked up on a last minute trip to Target. The scarfs were less than $10 each and it took less than 10 minutes to make them. Just fold a scarf in half, cut a hole for your neck, stitch down the sides, finish the edge of the hole you made for the neck and voila!
