I typically like to sew an outfit about an hour to 30 minutes before I’m supposed to walk out the door to meet someone and it was no different when I made the first scarf into a little Kimono…the worst part was the fabric, it frayed pretty easily, but with the right fabric I’m sure this already easy to do project would be even easier. Case in point-The second Kaftan style cover up. Awesome fabric, so easy to work with…Both equally as cute!!
I picked up the scarf at a flea market in Los Angeles, the Kaftan type fabric was purchased by a vendor on the beach in Mexico. Both were screaming to be turned into cute cover-ups.
PS. I work pretty free form, half the time figuring it out as I go along…so hopefully this makes sense.
I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be doing a few guest blog posts over at https://rochelleyorkpersonalstylist.wordpress.com/ and we have a Block & Battaglia giveaway in the works. Be sure to check out Rochelle’s blog and keep an eye out for the giveaway.
