On my recent trip to L.A. I picked up some gorgeous stretch silk charmeuse from Italian designer Sergei Grinko. The fabric was sold in panels rather than by the yard but the last panel on the bolt was cut incorrectly so I wasn’t able to get an entire panel, well, I could’ve for an extra $30, but I just took what was left of the last panel for a discounted price. The fabric is an eerie image of what looks like antlers and the sky at night painted with water colors and repeated in a mirror image. It feels amazing and l think the fabric is beautiful.
Since it’s summertime in AZ I knew I wanted to make a simple dress with this fabric and since I had a limited amount I decided to make a loose sleeveless number. It looks super cute with a belt and heels or just as it is, which is how I wore it on the 4th of July to see fireworks…with booties.
To keep with the red, white and blue theme for July 4th, I made a new bag with beautiful vintage fabric. I will be making more of these for the shop but this one is mine all mine.

Dress: Me
Clutch: Me//Block and Battaglia
